To All:

I make no secret that my interest in helping gang kidz is rooted in the fact that I grew up in the bloody streets of Chicago. (Click here to read my biography on Imdb) For a long time I was caught up in a world where there truly is no end but drugs, prison or death. I saw first-hand what happens to Kidz who don't have strong parents to support them and give them proper direction and to the kidz that for whatever reason, take a wrong turn and end up on the path that leads no where.

I made a promise to God and to myself that one day, when the time was right, I'd do something to give back for all of the Blessings I've received. Songz is just beginning but I plan on making it MY way of saving as many of these kidz as possible. It's my vision to start small, giving them a day away, where they can give their nerves a break, have some fun, and perhaps learn that there is a REAL life on the other side, where every person around the corner, isn't out to kill them or harm them in some way.

A couple years ago it was my pleasure to take a group from Chicago to the Red Bud Track- N- Trail in Buchanan, Michigan (Check out: REDBUDMX). With a little bit of luck and a whole lot of help, I'm planning on taking the kidz of SONGZ back again next year. Our dates are not finalized yet, but we're hoping for a weekend on or around the 4th of July.

This is an enormous undertaking so In the coming weeks I'll be posting a "wish list" of items and particulars we need help with. We'll have to secure travel arrangements (do you have a spare bus in your backyard?) and chaperones and cool stuff to give away and so on.
