The
following is a copy of the interview I just had with a wonderful lady from
the WOSIB.ORG website. I was honored to be chosen for the
"Member Spotlight of the Month"
This week's member spotlight is Alexis :)
Hello Alexis, and welcome to Spotlight :) I'd also like to say a big welcome to WOSIB too, because you're quite a new member, aren't you! How long have you been with us?
Hi all and thank you so very much for giving me this opportunity to introduce myself! I've been with WOSIB since the first week of August and I find I'm still learning new things every day. It's so exciting!
Introduce yourself to everyone :)
My name is Alexis (which translated means, "Helper of Mankind"). I'm the 39 year old single mother of Casey, my beautiful 14 year old daughter, Ace (6 years) and Chinah (6 Months) , our two mutts. By day, I work in my family owned accounting firm as an accountant/business consultant. By night, I am Alexis, webmistress of www.trinityangels.com, which is my website dedicated to teaching others all about guardian angels (and others). The site was formed because I noticed after visiting numerous other sites that there weren't very many places out there that really TEACH about the angels. So I formed the Weekly online workshops for exactly this purpose. Every Sunday night, a large group would gather in our chat room and prepare to literally take a class on how to better commune with the angels. Miracles happened when we did this. I'm digressing though...
When did you first hear about WOSIB, and what convinced you to join?
I opened my guest book to find a lovely invitation from an angel. I have to be honest and say that I am invited to join many groups and because of my time constraints, I usually don't. Something about that invitaton intrigued me enough to click on it and read through the pages of WOSIB. Once there, I had a profound feeling of being where I was meant to be and when I noticed the ANGEL gardens, I really knew it!
Your choice of garden was the angels. Why did you choose this garden?
The angel garden is made up of beautiful women who spend all of their time helping others. These are hard working women who will do absolutely anything and everything to ensure that someone in need has all the support they can handle. Through my own website, I minister to people in need, grief stricken loved ones, people suffering with
panic disorder, lost souls, people who are spiritually seeking and those who simply need a hand to hold. This garden seems to be a very logical extension of what I all ready do and it brings such joy when I am able to make a difference somewhere!
You've also recently earned your wings within the garden, congratulations! Would you like to explain to everyone exactly what it is you do within the garden?
Every day is a new learning experience for me within the garden. We are given weekly assignments which can range from simply signing guestbooks, to sending heartfelt notes to people who made need a lift. Sometimes our dear sisters are depressed over losing a loved one or they are concerned about recent bad health news...we try to do anything and everything we can to encircle these ladies with as much love as we can pour forth. WOSIB is such a large organization, there is ALWAYS a lot of work to do but because we LOVE what we are doing, it really isn't considered work...Simply put, the WOSIB support Angels spread love around the world. I cannot think of a more important duty.
Of course, to visitors to your website, it will be immediately obvious that you have quite an interest in angels, and in particular, guardian angels :) How did this come about?
This is a very very long story! The Blessed Mother sent me the angels about fifteen years ago during a time in my life that was dark and scarey. I'd become pregnant with Casey while still living at home with my very catholic parents. I was ashamed and afraid and I didn't want to tell anyone.
Around that time my mother handed me a Rosary and she told me it had been sent to her from an Aunt who recently visited Medjogrje, Yugoslavia, where it was reported that the Virgin was appearing regularly to six children. I took the Rosary and put it in a drawer. (I was afraid it was going to come out at night and fly around the room or something). For a couple of weeks, when I'd pass that drawer, I'd stop, open it, hold the Rosary, but then I'd place it back.
By the time I was two months secretly pregnant, I'd overcome my fear of that Rosary. Instead, I used it as a source of comfort. Wherever I'd go, I carried it. At night, I slept with it wrapped in my hands. At times, I would attempt to say it, but for the most part, the only words I could muster were these, "Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place my trust in Thee". I prayed to be able to carry the baby in private so as not to embarrass my family, I prayed for her health, I prayed for my health and as time wore on and on and on. Each prayer was answered.
Around my 8th secret month, I'd begun to sneak off to mass during the day where I could sit in the grotto just gazing at the statue of the Blessed Mother. Some days I could see her eyes blinking as she stared down at me, other days, the room would envelop with the aroma of roses. Still I would sit with her, holding my Rosary and I felt safe. It was the only place I could go where I didn't feel I was hiding a secret.
I made this trek to the church several times a week. Sometimes I'd bypass the grotto to go and sit in the first pew, watching Jesus on the cross. I'd pray for my family to be able to accept it when I had to tell them about the baby. I'd pray for the baby to be safe. I'd pray for peace in my own heart and of course, for forgiveness.
Whenever I would be particularly nervous, the Blessed Mother sent me a present. Once she filled my car with the aroma of roses, another time she jammed my car key into the
ignition so I couldn't get out and had to listen to a very poignant message coming over the radio. When I was lonely, She would send old friends to me, from out of the blue...people I'd longed to see for eons would just appear at my doorstep. I always knew She'd sent them and so I thanked Her each and every night.
Finally, she allowed me to pick the exact date and time Casey would appear and when she was born, The Blessed Mother stood right behind the Doctor and she was smiling. Everyone burst into happy tears but I was the only one who could see the Lady looking upon me as if I'd done a good job. Days later while still carrying the Rosary, I happened to look at it. What once was a totally silver chain, had now turned to gold. I think Mother Mary was pleased.
Months after all of this, she sent me (or rather, introduced me to) my guardians...Dominic, Elijah and Gabriel.
Tell us a bit more about guardian angels and how they've helped you.
As soon as a person truly acknowledges with sincerity, that they DO believe they have their own personal guardians and they want to be closer to the angels, miracles start to happen. Dominic was the first of my angels to actually speak aloud to me.
I was in my room crying to the Blessed Mother...over and over and over again I kept saying, "Mary....I am so scared....I am just so scared...." The room was silent and dark, except for the light of the TV I had on with the volume turned down. After about an hour of listening to me whine and cry and say I was scared there came a voice in the room which very matter-of-factly said, "You are NOT afraid. You, dear one, are NOT afraid. Settle." I sat straight up in bed, looked all around the room and then I giggled and giggled and giggled. I KNEW that voice! I recognized it and what was funnier...he was absolutely right. I WAS whining. I really WAS NOT afraid. So I blew my nose, dried my eyes and set about following my heart knowing all the while that my angels were right there with me.
Your site is very beautiful, could you explain a little more to us what it is about?
Thank you! As I was saying, I knew I had the angels with me from that night on. When Trinity was first created, we had weekly mediumship readings every Saturday night...always free of charge. We'd have six to eight professional
psychics come online and together, we'd do three or four readings for people who were in need. we never charged for this. Later, each Sunday night I started doing an Angel Workshop class (also free). It is my belief that if every single person on the planet has an angel(s), wouldn't it be a much better
existence if we would each get to know these angels? I preach ALL the time about how eager the angels are when we actually acknowledge their presence in our lives. God created them for us, not only to protect us, but also to help us daily. Many times they don't know what we need, so it's important to let them know and to always thank them in advance.
I'm getting ready to start doing the live angel workshops again and anyone interested is invited. We play games and do projects with the angels and they send us signs of their presence like you would not believe. I've had the greatest skeptics arive in my class and leave as the most dedicated angel enthusiasts. We all have the same abilities. I guess this is the theme of my site.

On your site there are plenty of funny stories, what has been your most interesting moment so far?
Two years ago, almost to the date, I took a group of My Trinity Angels to Georgia, on a field trip. Since we were from all over the country, each of us made our own travel arrangements but we met and stayed at the same hotel. My group of travel mates gathered and we set out in my car to drive from Kentucky to Alpharetta, Georgia. We were so excited and we received signs all the way along. One of the ladies driving with us had lost a daughter and so since then, her sign from her daughter had been to see yellow butterflies. The entire ride to Alpharetta, there were yellow butterflies appearing and circling the car, looking in the
windshields, chasing us outside...you name it. When we arrived at the hotel and met for dinner, there were more stories of tiny miracles along each person's way. One lady saw dragon flies the whole trip, while another just kept hearing angel songs on the radio. Our waiter for the evening announced his name to be "Gabriel", of course, this is a famous Angel's name (and one of my guardians...giggle). The next morning as they woke, two ladies heard, "Angels Among us" on the radio and they opened their doors crying big tears of joy.
For me, getting to go on this trip and meet the ladies in person and to be able to pray with them and experience miracles together was a blessing I will never forget. We visited the shrine to the Blessed Mother and felt her presence and later, we got to go visit Patricia Sistrunk of "...and the angel said" Gallery. Patricia painted each of our guardian angels portraits...we cried and cried as one after the other was completed. When I saw mine (who hangs above my computer here at the office), it was as if I'd known her all my life (and I have).
We all had felt led to go on this trip and on the way home we said we all felt like something was about to happen. The day after we arrived home was September 11, 2001.
If you are interested...there are photos from this trip on the site...just go to
www.trinityangels.com/contents.htm and click on Field Trip photos,
Conyers trip, Cumming, Ga. You can even see photos of our guardian angels being painted.
You have been running a rather interesting operation that you've named "Blessings Box". Can you tell us a bit more about this?
This is a project that is so very near and dear to my heart. We started this about three years ago after completing a lesson on psychometry. Basically,
psychometrics teaches that every object on earth carries "fingerprints" which are energies left behind by whomever owned it along the way. So I decided why not create something that can be sent around to "Bless" other people. I started with a beautifully hand carved, antique box and then I started shopping around to fill it with wonderfully spiritual items and some little surprises too. I think I started with angel confetti, then added some angel feathers, butterflies, dragon flies, handwritten poems, jewelry etc. Then I bought a special leather-bound journal and beautiful pen. In this, I recorded the names and addresses of those who would like to receive the box along with a special note just from me about what the box meant to me. I took the box around to my favorite places and hand people lay hands on it and Bless it, sending love to each person who was to receive it. And finally, I selected the person who I would mail it to and it was off.
Each person who receives this beautiful box gets to keep it for one week and is welcome to go through and touch every item in the box. Towards the end of the week, there is always an item in the box that one feels compelled to keep so you take that item out to keep forever and you replace it with something you feel compelled to leave. Just before you select the next person, you Bless the box, pick up the journal and write your message to be included in the journal. Loads of people will journal specific miracles that occur while the box is present in their homes...those are ALWAYS fun to read. After the box gets sent off, it's important that one goes to the trinity message board to leave a note about having had the box and what it meant. THAT way...we ALL get to experience the joy. The new box is about to be sent off. If you are interested, simply email me at Alexis31@aol.com, and ask to be placed on the list. I'll need a snail mail address as the box does get mailed via the US Postal service.
Who would you say has been the greatest influence or inspiration in your life, and why?
This may take some people back but honestly, the greatest influence/inspiration in my life is God and after Him, the Blessed Mother and the angels. It's very hard to explain but I feel a bond with all of them that is so strong, I carry them with me every moment of my life. For the past 15 years, I've been able to play and goof around with my angels just as though they were my brothers and sisters. They whisper in my ears, come to me in dreams and communicate through my writing. I feel so Blessed in my life for having had the Blessing to actually KNOW the Blessed Mother and to receive gifts from Her, it only makes sense that I look to all of them for my influence and inspiration. I'm human, however, and I do make loads of mistakes. That makes me all the more hard on myself because I feel like I have such unique gifts and I hate to disappoint them.
What is your best bit of advice about life?
Two things really. REMEMBER that everything in life is cyclic. That means life goes in a circle. Sometimes we are up, sometimes we are so-so and sometimes we are as low as can be. If we can all just
remember to reach out to God and take hold...sooner or later, He will carry us back up. This is a given, it isn't a maybe sort of thing. If you find yourself down, try to remember it will not last forever. PRACTICE following your heart. When you get into the habit of never going against what your heart tells you to do, you will find the greatest peace on earth. We were each created with the gift of inner truth residing within our hearts. We must let go of the idea that MAKING SENSE means more than PRACTICING TRUTH. When you can master following your heart in every situation, you will attain everything you've ever imagined.
Thank you Alexis!
Thank each of you with all of my heart. I truly love this group and I feel I've been led here which is a wonderful feeling. I'd like to invite all of you to visit trinityangels.com and explore the pages. If you are interested in anything I've just said, you can find books about angels and psychometry and the Blessed Mother all through my site. Have fun exploring and may God Bless and Keep each of you!
